A well designed object
I recently had a package design class in which we were talking about how the next step to a great design is to make it seem like part of our everyday and natural life. We talked about how the I pod and other apple products have done this extremely well. The actual Ipod is simple but it has rounded edges that that fit your hand, and it's size fits right in your hand or pocket. I think that the ipod in general is an extremely well designed object because it is useful and is becoming an item that fits into our natural life.
Better Than Free Response
I found this article to be extremely correct. We do pay more for immediacy, personalization, interpretation, authenticity, accessibility, embodiment, patronage, and findability. I think that these things that we pay for are second nature to us. This article just pointed them out to us, which I really enjoyed. Of all of these extra things that we pay for I believe the one that stood out to me the most was immediacy. People are always waiting in line to the midnight showing of a movie, or for the new ipod to be released, and it is true that the first of something is better then having it later and we will pay more to get that.
Mechanical Reproduction of Art Response
I agree with Walter Benjamin in that I do believe that Art work becomes less valuable if it is mass produced. I think that Art work is one of those things in the world that if there is less of it people will appreciate it more. It's kind of like when there is one piece of art that has not been recreated it is worth a whole lot more than if there were a large quantity of a piece of artwork. So again I do think that people will appreciate artwork more and have more of a response to it if there was less of it is not mass produced.

Interactive Website.
I believe that a rather interactive media website is facebook. Don't get me wrong, it is kind of typical, but there is so much to do on facebook with all the links, games, and ways to interact with other people. I know that millions of people use facebook in different ways, all of which are catered to the individual person and what they are interested in. I understand that specifically each page might not be interactive in itself, but as a whole facebook has many outlets to do many interesting things that makes it interactive in itself.

Places I like to travel
Personally I am fine with traveling anywhere as long as its away from "Home."
I guess I like the beach a whole lot. Just sitting on a beach chair all day, maybe drinking some kind of beverage. I also enjoy the heat. It relaxes me, which I believe is the point of traveling... To relax (or in some cases I guess to learn, but In my case the point is to relax) Now the question is what beach? Don't get me wrong I do enjoy Florida beaches, but I really enjoy beaches in Latin America, like Mexico or Costa Rica. I guess Hawaii is not bad either for one in the US. So in the end my favorite places to travel are beaches outside of the continental US.

1000 True Fans (updated)
I found this reading to me interesting. I felt inspired to maybe someday try and create my "1000 true fans." I think that if I could have 1000 true fans it could be really cool. I would have all these people that loved me and my artwork. However, as a re read it, it just kinda gives me some basic guidelines on how to get to my 1000 true fan mark. So then I thought, can this actually work? Maybe it can. It might take a while but I guess anything is possible. Maybe I should start trying to get my 1000 true fans. I mean like the article said ". . . it's far less than a million."
So lets say it did work. How would I communicate with all of them. I guess I could have a facebook, or a twitter account. Maybe a myspace or a blog. That way everyone can follow me and see what I was doing or where I was at a specific time, and they could communicate with me as well. It seems like the internet is the main way I would communicate with my 1000 true fans.

Worth 1000 Image
I really enjoyed the art piece Fly to the Light because it is natural and outside which is something that I enjoy. Also the idea is neat in itself: A dragonfly coming out of a drop of water in a puddle.
